Our Cruisemount® kit allows you to install the Harley Davidson® electronic Harley motorcycle cruise control (separate purchase from your Harley® dealer) on your 2009 and earlier fuel injected or carbureted Softail®, Road King, or Electra Glide.  Fits any 1996 through 2009 Softail® (except Rocker's) with the stock Delphi® fuel injection module or stock carburetor and stock handlebars and stock electronic speedometer.
We also have solutions for your 1996 - 2001 Road King® , 1998 - 2001 Electra Glide, and 1996 - 2009 Road King Police and, most Electra Glide Police.

Special note for Fat Boys, Fat Boy Lo, Softail Custom, CVO Springer, Softail Convertible, and any other with internal handlebar wiring, or chrome switch housings. - The internal handlebar wiring on your bike may include the turn signal wiring.  This requires you to drill a 5/16" hole in the lower half of the new left and right switch housings to accommodate the turn signal wiring, because the cruise control switch housing do not have this hole.  This requires your to disassemble the switches from the switch housings prior to drilling the holes.  This is tedious and delicate work.  Switches can be broken.  We recommend dealer installation, and it can add 2 hours to the installation.  Also, the cruise control kit from Harley includes BLACK switch housings.  CVO bikes usually have chrome switch housing.  You may need to purchase chrome switch housings that are "cruise Compatible".

2002 - 2009 civilian Road Kings and Electra Glides can get everything direct from harley.

To maintain clutch "lockout" for 2004 to 2006 Road King Police
2004 - 2006:This assumes that you still have the original police hand control with the RED switches on your bike.  To maintain the clutch "lockout" feature on your Road King police, purchase cruise control kit 77198-07 from your Harley dealer.  Have the Harley dealer cut off the Molex connectors and install Deutch brand terminal sockets on each of the 17 wires.  The Harley part number for the terminals is 72191-94.  You only need the terminals.  You will reuse the Deutch 12-place connector housing that are on your bike and on the police hand controls.  We will supply all other need connector parts.   If your RED switches have already been removed, we don't know what wiring was done, and you should order the harness that disables the "'lockout" function.  

1996 - 2003: For  these years you will use the red "P" light in the stock speedometer for the "cruise engaged" indicator light.  There will not be any "cruise enabled" light.  If you change to a combo speedometer/tachometer you will not  have any cruise indicator lights!                                   11/9/2009
