2006:This assumes
that you still have the original police hand control with the RED switches on your bike.
To maintain the clutch "lockout" feature on your Road King police,
purchase cruise control kit 77198-07 from your Harley dealer.
Have the Harley dealer cut off the Molex connectors and install Deutch
brand terminal sockets on
each of the 17 wires. The Harley part number for the terminals is
72191-94. You only need the terminals. You will reuse the
Deutch 12-place connector housing that are on your bike and on the
police hand controls. We will supply all other need connector
parts. If your RED switches
have already been removed, we don't know what wiring was done, and you
should order the harness that disables the "'lockout"
function. 1996 - 2003: For these years you will use the red "P" light in the stock speedometer for the "cruise engaged" indicator light. There will not be any "cruise enabled" light. If you change to a combo speedometer/tachometer you will not have any cruise indicator lights! 11/9/2009 |
